June gardening tips

If you have recently planted annuals or perennials, remember to keep them watered.  Soak the soil, but let it dry out before you water again.  Morning is the best time to water.

If you have weeds growing in cracks of your driveway, sidewalk, or patio, you can get rid of them by spraying them with a mixture of white vinegar and dish soap.  Avoiding commercial weed killers is better for the environment.

  1. I've always had a hard time with the weeds in the sidewalk cracks, They're really difficult to pull out and I try to cut them with an edger. I'll have go give the vinegar and dish soap a try though. Thanks for the advice! http://www.lyonslandscaping.com
